I am totally amazed!

I have been to the Buffalo Bill Center in Cody Wyoming today.

I think it lives up to the hype.

There are over 7,000 guns there and I have seen several that I have only read about. I won’t go into more detail, but suffice to say, it is so worth the trip. I realize it’s a little out of the way but wow it is very special.

I went there in '19 and was totally blown away! I made it a mission to see every single gun there and succeeded LOL :) Amazing!

It is huge, but the cool thing is how they have the slide out drawers for long guns and handguns.

There’s a display area for many of John Browning’s designs and pattern guns.

There is way more than I can describe.

Some time try the Woolaroc museum in Bartlesville Oklahoma to see a giant collection of COLT fire arms including some that NEVER made it into production. The museum is on the WOOLAROC Ranch owned by the Phillips Petroleum brothers; LOADs of other interesting displays along with the firearms.

I went back today and finished all the museums (there are 5 total). Be sure to visit the lower level of the firearms, it is awesome.

The other museums are good but not as exciting (for me anyway).

I again recommend this venue highly.

I own 2 guns that came out of the museum. they auctioned them off to make room in the Winchester area.

I’d like to get there one day. Another great firearm collection is at the Springfield Armory in Springfield Ma.

The museum is awesome in its own right, but for a fee you can get a private tour of the upstairs storage area.

The way I understand it, they have guns picked up from every battlefield. They would pickup weapons and ship them to Springfield to be analyzed then they were stored away.

Picture rows and rows of rifles nothing is locked.
The Park Ranger will ask you what period of history you are interested in and take you to that row and pickup guns to show you.

Then there are shelves and drawers full of sidearms.

It is mind blowing.

Nearby is the Basketball hall of fame if that interests you. My son enjoyed it.
