To get this impression in the loading gate. Hard to get a pic but you can even see the dimple in the primer from the firing pin and the lettering on the case head

And a taste of F/C erosion

Throw in some breach face wear/erosion

And finally some strategic blue wear

I imagine it has digested enough rounds to pay for itself a few times

ppffftthhhh...hardly any topstrap cutting to speak of...that thing is still practically new!

It's always good to see an old gun well appreciated for what it was intended to do.

I have the casehead marks on the Loading Gate on my 44 Blackhawk too. But not as pronounce as what you have..........................................
