How lucky can one guy be?

God moves in Mysterious manner at times.
Death looked at his hour glass and decided it wasn't time for his soul to be harvested. (Read some Terry Pratchett Disc World novels.)

Hi,

I've heard a couple of stories from emergency or other unusual situations about a "mystery nurse" or other "mystery person" which make me think she will NEVER be found, at least not in this life. Her job was done... and, yes, I do believe angels walk among us.

Amazing story of amazing people! Indeed he is a lucky man.

Reminds me of when one of my sons, while alone, injured himself on a house remodeling job - he cut through his femoral artery in his upper thigh with an electric saw that kicked back on him. He managed to crawl out of the hole in the floor, use his belt as a makeshift tourniquet, and call 911 on the cellphone we had just given him a few months earlier. Then elevated his leg on a box as he lay on the floor. Thank God for his Boy Scout training.

Luckily the EMS & fire station was less than 5 minutes away. When the EMTs came through the door, they saw my son's blood splattered all over the walls, floor & ceiling. After son came out of surgery at the ER later, the doctor said it was a miracle that he had not gone into cardiac arrest. He estimated he had bled out about 3 liters, probably more than half his "tank" contained. (Son is a slender six footer, about 155 lbs.

Son never lost consciousness until they wheeled him into the surgery. He remembers the EMTs squeezing the IV bags to get the plasma in him at a faster rate than the usual dripping.

At the time we all figured that he had been saved for some greater purpose, which became clear three years later when his sweet wife passed away from breast cancer on her 39th birthday. She left him with two little boys ages 3 & 10.
