this discussion reminded me...
several decades back, I mounted and zeroed a scope on a guys 35Rem. It took a while discussing ballistics to convience him this was not a long range gun. He grasped it when I told him out to 125 yards the impact would be anywhere between 4" high to low, out past that the bullet would drop like a rock.
I heard that he was spouting off his newly learn knowledge and to show his point took aim and shot at his truck. While there was a puff of dust before the truck where the bullet hit the ground, the door glass shattered from the ricochette
