How Common Is The Adjustable Sight KGP131?

I recently picked up a three inch KGP131 with adjustable sights. The serial number dates it to 1988. I've never come across one with adjustable sights before, I assume they were not made long or in large numbers.

I like my 4" GP, but many times I wished it only had a 3" barrel....thats a good lookin GP you have there!

We had a few come through a few years ago. They were part of a bunch of oddball GP's like half-lug 3" guns, 4" fixed sight guns, etc that we got from Ruger. Pretty neat gun though. I can't imagine many were ever made.

I read on here that they were part of a batch for US Customs. not sure if that's true.

I like this setup better than the Wiley clapp version. And Ruger is pretty much set up to make it, don't know why they don't.
