Amen to that! The Batman theme has been playing in my head since I first heard the news a couple of hours ago while running some errands. Thank you, Mr. West, for some great entertainment, and may you rest in peace now, knowing you did your part to keep Gotham City safe! If only fantasy could sometimes become reality...

I have a complete set of Batman cards from 1966. I remember it was on Thursday night. And I think it was on 2 nights in a row. I always wondered how he drove Bat mobile with the folded 4 times Bat shield in his utility belt. BIFF!!! POW!

Mr. West, who I'm sure is a fine man, was indirectly responsible for driving me away from television round about 1968 when that Batman thing started. ;)

I actually had no idea what else he'd done, since I haven't heard anything about him since 'that show'....

But 88 ain't a bad run I reckon. But how old does that make the rest of us!? :? :shock:

I grew up watching the reruns of Batman & now my 4 year old likes to watch them. I am not telling him this has happened. I believe he was the best Batman.

Yes batman was a must watch for us kids, I also liked the Green Hornet!
