Hmm, grip decisions for GP-100 4"

Back when I owned a few Gp100's, I really liked the Pachmayer "Gripper" grips on it.

Put some wood on her....she deserves it! Some Coco Bolo from Hogue. Some have asked how recoil is with the wood. I can't tell a difference between the wood and the rubber Hogues it came with.

I keep wanting to put some wood grips on my gp100 or sp101. They sure look pretty all dressed up.

They were facrory Ruger Super Redhawk grips that were offered in the mid-1980's and were made by Lett Grips Company. They are identical to the factory full size GP100 rubber grips with wood inserts. These are hard to find. I never could understand why Ruger didn't offer these nice wood grips for the GP100 also?

1)The grips on my blue 3" GP were just for looks-but(unfortunately)I sold this gun-to my regret!

2)The Hogue grips on my 4" stainless GP is for both looks and shootin'-however, I haven't gotten out to the range yet to try out these Hogue's!
