Higher capacity magazines in an American?

I recently purchased an American in a .308 and would like to make some adjustments to it, one of those adjustments being retrofitting the rifle to accept a higher capacity magazine. Any suggestions? Let me be clear, stay off your soapboxes, telling me if I were a better shot I wouldn't need more ammo. I am just looking to have some fun with.

Will Scout Rifle mags fit, or can be made to work? (You might have to invest in a different floorplate and so forth.)

Can it be done? Yes it could be done... hell almost anything can be done.
But it would be cheaper to just buy a Ruger GSR and a 10 round mag.

Oh certainly, the part number for the magazine is "SR762"

The also make an extended 5.56 NATO one called "SR556"
