High Winds

I don't know about your area, but it has been very windy (60-70 MPH) in the Texas Panhandle and 40MPH here in the Ft Worth area.
Also, other parts of the U.S. have had high winds.
I kind of feel sorry for the squirrels.

We had 60 mph winds a couple nights ago. It really plays a beat on the dumpster lids behind the shop.

Thankfully the snow held off for the most part.

30-40 MPH here all this past weekend. Didn't bother me all that much though, cause it blew away all the Oak leaves that fall off and pile up everywhere around my place this time of year. And...Saved me a whole lot of work!

Wind blew like crazy all last night and most of today. Currently slowed to around 10-12 mph. Temps are dropping again to single digits overnight. I'm glad to not be a newborn calf. BRRR
Ducks and geese almost refused to fly and only circled once before splashing back down this morning--water was warmer than air.

We had 70-80 mph winds Friday night. Were without power for about 24 hours. Still some people without power in the area. Might be Wednesday until everyone is restored. Currently blowing and snowing. Ohio weather, ya gotta love it.

I left the house yesterday wearing a short sleeve Hawaiian shirt and thin cargo pants at a sunny 85° and finally got home last night and it was in the 30s, raining, with 40 mile an hour winds. Talk about a drastic change in the weather. Forecast 29° tonight, which will set a new record. Wind was about 25 earlier but dying down tonight.

The area I live in is prone to some pretty high winds. Earlier this winter we got 80-90 mph winds, lots of power outages. The last few days it was only 60-70 mph winds, the bummer here is, it typically lasts multiple days. And the earlier storm lasted almost a week.
I took the trash cans out on Sunday night for pick up early Monday morning to discover my trash cans was already gone. I drove down the street and found a green trash can next to a red one. I was missing a green one and figured that guy isn’t going to use both companies so I put the green one in the back of my truck, and it will stay there until this storm is over.
