Herter's TNJ ammo

Anyone tried this ammo from Cabela's? Thinking about picking up a box or two just to try it out. I don't reload so the aluminum cases aren't an issue for me. Was just curious how the nylon jacketed stuff works. The reviews there don't seem too bad but I'd like some more opinions from people with more experience with ammo than I have.

The Herters ammo is just some cheap ammo from Eastern Europe labeled with the Herters name. It may be O.K. but it's on the cheap side. For some range or plinking I wouldn't have a problem trying some out.

Since I'm a reloader I hardly ever buy ammo, but if I do it would have to be brass cases.

Don't quote me as fact, but I know ranges that won't allow Wolf/Russian ammo on/in their range. I believe this is falling in that group.

I have fired up some of the Wolf ammo, no problem in my lead chucker. At the time, it was cheaper than components (before the metals market went up up up.) before assembly into loaded ammo. IIRC .45 ACP 230 hardball @ $6.50 for 50 rounds.

The nylon clad thing has been done before, I don't recall any issues with it. Was called Nylclad. Now, am wondering if there may be issues with polygonal and similar bores. I have a Kahr. I have an aftermarket barrel for my Glock, so no problem there. I had the impression that the cases were from CCI, like their Blazer rounds ? I'd like to try them too, in 9mm.. steve b

Ok, just went and re-read the add. On the boxes, upper left hand corner, says Blazer,etc., on the upper right hand corner, says, Made in USA.. steve b
