Need someone to tell me what I am doing wrong if they can. I shoot Ruger,Colt,USFA guns(single actions)39/40, 44/40,45 colt and 22 cal.Every gun I shoot seems to shoot to the right of center about 5 or 6 inches. I was shooting today from a (pistol perch rest)at 25 yards, usfa 45 colt, ruger 45 colt. Both shot to the right. In fact every gun I own seems to shoot to the right, except to dayafter I shot the big bores I shot a usfa and a ruger 22 single action and they shot just a little to the left(approx3 or 4 inches). What do you think I am doing wrong? I feel like it is not the guns because I shoot them all to the right except the 22'2. I AM LEFT HANDED if that has anything to do with it. I have heard about the pushing the trigger thing but why do I not do that with the 22? ANy help would be appreciated. Sorry about the long message.[/b]

Next time you see one of those cheap laser pens, buy it.

When you get home, make sure the revolver is empty and no ammo near you.

Tape the laser to the side of the barrel of your revolver.

Pick a spot on the wall and line up your sights (with laser turned on). doesn't matter where the laser hits to your sights, this is just a tool to help, not defend.

Squeeze the trigger while watching your dot on the wall. You will be able to tell if your'e pulling, pushing, jerking trigger.

The pad of everbodies finger is different a little, but look for the vortex part of your print and place the trigger right there.

The next time you go shoot, load the guns in this sequence.

One live round, one empty casing, two live rounds, two empty casing's. It's important to use the empty casing's, don't just skip a hole...this keeps you from cheating.

While fireing this half loaded cylinder your mistake's will be very apparent when you unkowingly land on an empty.

I have a NM Blackhawk .357/9mm convertible that I bought three-and-a-half years ago. I shot it with the factory wood grip panels and it always shot to the left of center. It didn't matter where I had the rear sight adjusted. I didn't like the way the factory grip panels fit my hand, so I bought one of the rubber Pachmayr Presentation grips. They fit my large hand and allowed me to shoot to center. I didn't like the way the rubber grips looked on the Blackhawk, so I bought a set of Cary C's nice wood grips. The grips looked beautiful, but they made me shoot to the right of center. Long story short. I found that I could change where I shot, just by changing the grip panels. I recommend you try some aftermarket grip panels and see how they affect your shooting. You may have to buy a couple of sets, before you find the ones that are right for you hand. I tried eight different grips on my Blackhawk. Four of them allowed me to shoot to center. The other four made me shoot either to the left or to the right.
