HELP! Ruger sr40c extractor malfunction

I just bought an sr40c. Put 1 box of federal ammo through it. Went to start the second box a couple weeks later, and on the 11th round the extractor came off the gun spring and all. Sent it back to ruger, but would like to know if anyone has any clue what caused this. I cant find anything online. Thanks.

Sorry you had an issue with your new SR40c. As that it is one of the newer Ruger models, teething issues may occur. It sounds like you did the correct thing by sending it back to Ruger for warranty service. They will surely remedy your issue. Your question may best be answered by Ruger. What were their comments during your initial service inquiry call? Consider reporting back with the results of your Ruger warranty service encounter.
