Hi All.....OK...I'm sold on the Stainless Model Blackhawks....My Anniv. and 44 Mag Stainless Models are incredibly scary accurate...I want to add a New Model Stainless Blackhawk 6 1/2" 357 Mag to the crew....Can someone please tell me if the cylinder is LONG enough to load the 168-173gr. Keith bullets in their crimping groove without resorting to cutting cases or crimping over the front driving band....????
Thank You All.....
Pete

The cylinder on my stainless 357 blackhawk measures 1.642 not including the ratchet or the front cylinder boss. Just the part of the cylinder that the cartridge fits in. If you know the O.A.L of the bullet you mentioned this may help.

Dear XRATOY...Thank you for replying....could you do me a further favor..?? I need you to insert an unfired (or fired case) into your cylinder and measure from the BACK of that fired case to the end (front) of the cylinder...THAT will answer my question....
Thank You for your reply....
Pete

THANK YOU AGAIN< XRATOY...!!!! WOW...1.7"....OK..more than enough length to seat the long 168-173gr KEITH bullets in their crimp groove....
Now to find NIB 6 1/2" Stainless 357 New Model Blackhawk.....and a Belt Mountain base pin...and a Bowen rear Sight...and, of course, a new set of CaryC grips.....

AHHH..it never ends......

Thanks Again...

Pete
