Hawkeye serial #17. A real 2 digit gun. Rarely do you see a 2 digit anything come on the market.
Beautiful gun. Frame is a nice plum color and not a mark on it. They just don't get any better than this! Has period correct Bushnell scope.
No box. Comes with a now extinct Ruger factory letter.....

The Ruger factory letter (see above) says shipped to Larry Koller.
The #17 mahogany boxed S-47 (Super BH) , the #17 BKH4 (44 flat top) and the #17 BKH3 (357 flat top) were all shipped to American
Wholesale Hardware Company in Long Beach CA.
All three also reside in my collection.
Here is a picture of the 4 guns together as pictured on the cover of the November 1996 Gun Journal, along with a the description about the cover.

The #17 Tri-Color Light weight recently sold on GB, to a forum member, and was factory lettered to Jack O'Connor.
I have a list of early Single-Six serial numbers that shows the #17 Single-Six went to a Judge Anderson. I do not know where this gun is.
The #21 flat gate RSS letters to Lucian Cary.
