I was on a different forum and a guy mentioned he had a 45 Colt Redhawk 4". So just out of curiosity I asked him what he wanted for it. Turns out others had asked as well. When I asked I got a response back pretty quickly and he said "Well I'll sell it back to you for what you sold it to me for. " That caught me off guard. It was still NIB. And sure enough after we talked about it some I remembered it, and bought it back. :) Kind of fun when that happens if not a little embarassing.

Years ago, I sold a Ruger Redhawk in .44 Mag to a friend and used the money to buy a .454 Casull. I don't think he's ever shot it. I've tried several times to buy it back from him but he isn't interested. Don

BPJ...Didn't you tell me..."I found 3 I didn't realize I had when I got ready to move down to Idaho. Things happen."

You got-a get a yellow pad and start writing things down, or may some of that Gin-ko-hopping-Balua memory enhancing compound.

I know I'm closing in on those grips, today is the day, I'm re-organizing the office/gun room, or as my wife calls it "the indoor compost pile". They said, these here super-conductors would do away with all this paper.

Had a buddy needed money and gave him $300 for a new .45 black hawk . put it in the safe , 3-4 yrs later he bought it back .

The last gun I sold was a S&W I had purchased from a fellow officer back in "the day".

He is now with another agency, recently promoted to Lt. , transferred back to patrol, and wanted to buy the S&W back.

Sold it plus a slight "storage" fee. He was very happy to get it back.

I have an Old Model Single-Six I have bought and sold at least three times over many years. At this point, I'm not sure who the original owner was because I know I bought it used.

Old age is not for sissies.

;)

It reminds me of the old joke about a horse, but it could be a gun:

Bubba sells Jethro a gun for a profit. Jethro sells it back to Bubba for a profit. This went on for years until Bubba sold it to someone else.

Jethro: Bubba, why did you sell the gun to someone else? We were both makin' a pretty good livin' off that thing!

If I could just buy back the Buckeye Special Combo 32 Blackhawk for what I sold it for...

Never had that happen before.

However having 4 kids combined with "thinning the herd" in my older age, I've got a bunch of happy kids.

Darren is the happiest. He's got the CMP Garand, the Fulton M-1 Carbine, and the S&W 19-5 revolver.
