Been a diver since the late 70’s and have yet to see the chameleon of the sea. While diving multiple times in Hawaii I was looking for a blue ring but nada. My high school biology teacher did have a small pair of generic ones in an aquarium in the classroom. He was a young, cool guy who was a diver.

RC44Mag,, you have missed a very fun thing. Most of the octopus's I've encountered were during night dives. But I have had a few in daylight dives.
I truly enjoy them!

They really blend in and are very hard to spot.

I watched this video 8 times before I noticed the octopus.

Always wanted to do a night dive with Mantas in the lights and I’ll have to try one to try and see octopi that would be cool. Octopus are really neat sea life, really intelligent and friendly. Thanks for the advice
