You know why there is always a shortage of crayons this time of year......for all the USMC Birthday cakes.....it takes a lot of crayons to make all that frosting!

Yea, I bought my kids a couple of boxes of crayons 
Semper Fi Bobby Joe and Roy; my two great former Marine buddies. We somehow managed to always celebrate (though I was never a Marine and we were then all in Army green).

I served in the USMC 1964-68, RVN service with E battery, 12 Marines 7/65 - 3/67. For those of us who served in the Corps, this little ditty will sound familiar:
