Gunslingers series

Has anyone here watched the series Gunslingers on the History Channel, it also aires on American Hero's Channel. They have the true stories with commentary from historians, they also use actors to create different scenes. They also have original pictures when available. They try to get to the truth instead of the myth.
It is a 6 chapter series, I have seen five, Wyatt Earp, Jesse James, Wild Bill Hickok, Billy The Kid, and John Wesley Hardin. The last one is Tom Horn, the American Hero's Channel is airing all 6 episodes tomorrow night so I will watch it then.
If you get AHC channel you should check it out, I have enjoyed it.

I'm really enjoying it. Hard to believe they can hold my interest with story's that I have already heard many times. They have a way of making it seem fresh and new somehow.

The only glaring mistake I have seen is when Billy the kid ambushes Sheriff Brady, he comes out from behind the adobe wall to finish the Sheriff off with his rifle he fires then jacks a new shell into the chamber, the camera follows the spent casing to the ground in a nice close up. The only problem is the case has a very pronounced crimp on it, obviously a blank cartridge.

Very Interesting. I do not have cable or any other internet access here in Pittsburgh, PA. I do not want it, and I do not care for it. There are tons of sources out there to acquire all kinds of various shows with out having to subscribe to any internet site. Most of our "movies we want to see" come from our local library.

Yeah,they should let the actors use real cartridges :lol:

I remember Bob Boze Bell commenting about the gunfights and that they always seem to leave out the parts about the wounded taking days to die from gangrene in a dirty saloon back room or barn somewhere. Bad hits with 700fps lead solids tend to not provide the "dead before they hit the dirt" kills that TV shows require.

I'll watch it when it hits streaming internet. We don't pay cable TV bills 'round here.
