Gunny I must say I impressed with your musical inserts into the many post you respond to. Seems you have quite a variety of things you have listened to over the years. I've always enjoyed Ms Lennox's performances over the years. Linda and I had the opportunity to see her live at St Luke's, London March of 2009. Her style has evolved over the years.

Gunny I must say I impressed with your musical inserts into the many post you respond to. Seems you have quite a variety of things you have listened to over the years. I've always enjoyed Ms Lennox's performances over the years. Linda and I had the opportunity to see her live at St Luke's, London March of 2009. Her style has evolved over the years.

I've always enjoyed a wide variety of music since I was old enough to push the pedals on my granma's player piano in the late '40's. (except RAP/Hiphop which I don't consider to be music). Some topics that come up here will remind me of a tune occasionally, so I'll spend a few minutes hunting it down on YouTube (even tho I dislike some of their recent policies and actions).

Quite a few of my favorites are the old blues music, and similar. Mississippi John Hurt is always a good listen.

That is my favorite BG tune.
When I was a wee lad my Mom and Dad had a bunch of big band albums we'd listen to.
Gene Krupe was a fine drummer, but my personal favorite is Joe Morello with Dave Brubeck's classic "Take Five".
