I noticed today while working the slide and dry firing that I could take my finger, put it on the end of the rod and push it back in about 1/16 of an inch. It was far enough out that you could see daylight between the head of the rod and the slide, but I could push it back flush. Normal or not is my question. What do you guys think?

The SR9c's guide rod is a double rod/spring design, unlike the SR9's single spring and single rod. There's bound to be some play with the guide rod when the springs are holding the force...the rods are only holding the springs captive when the assembly is out of the gun.

IOW, normal! :)

Thanks for the reply Josh. I figured this was okay since it is a two piece rod. I put a CT laser on it today, now I need to find a holster to accomodate it.

Holster for SR9c with CT Laser.

I have the non-laser version of this holster, it's very nice.
