Who makes a good boot type grip for the round butt Speed-Six, I'm looking for something with the back strap exposed and not extend below the grip frame, checkered and relativly thin. Any Ideas?

It seems to me Pachmayer had a Gripper Professional with exposed backstrap as opposed to the Gripper model which covered it.

How about the factory checkered, wood, open backstrap grips and add a Tyler T?

Drather have some good wood, my gun is the 3" version of this gun and came with the factory rubber grips probably made by Pachmeyer, with the Ruger medalion. Good grips, but they enclose the backstrap, they are thin enough that I can handle them but trigger reach would be improved with a open backstrap.

I have bought a set of the original Ruger wood grips, and have used a J-frame Tyler grip adapter and that works as well.
