Greetings from Tornado alley

Didn't hit me (this time) but other folks in MS weren't so lucky. About 2 dozen dead across the State, and a lot of damage. I'm about 15 miles from Amory. Storm chaser video is from a very small town in the Delta. It was wiped out.

I thank God you were spared, and my prayers go up for those who suffered damage and loss of loved ones.

It was an uneasy evening from 5:00 p.m. on here in Memphis. But as the evening wore on, the storms from across the River slackened. There were a few heavy blasts of wind, and a very heavy downpour. A large limb fell from a pine tree in my neighbor's yard. Same tree that creased her car roof and shattered her back glass from the ice last year, but did no further damage.

I couldn’t see much but flashes of lightening now and the. I don’t know of any drone that could withstand that kind of weather. Perhaps another storm chasers car? Prayers for those adversely effected!

The local news here is reporting that the twister was on the ground for over an hour and covered 170 miles.

They're still recovering bodies in various areas along the tornadoes 170 mile path. 26 at latest count.

Having been a survivor of a hurricane strike, years ago, I can on;y pray for those affected. My roommate and I survived and only lost our dwelling. Others were not as fortunate.

Been in one in 52. Killed 33. Killed the family next door and my Grandfather on the other side of our house. Still remember it. Took 100 stitches in my Grandmother’s head. Chickens with no feathers. Broom straws stuck in telephone poles. Bad night. Still don’t like storm clouds.
