Grandfather's Ruger 22

Old one for sure. I remember he had this one in the '60's but not sure when he got it.

22 semi-auto, 4" tapered barrel, serial is 860XX, black grips and black Ruger emblem. Round count is pretty low.


Feller wants buy this one and I am not sure how much to sell for, so any help will be appreciated.

In all honesty, I would say in the $300 range, give or take. As I said, not enough to make me sell my gandfathers pistol. Early standard autos just don't seem to have the collector value as the Old Model revolvers. Even the early Red Eagle guns seem to only sell for $500 or so, unless they have the original box and papers, then the price will go up accordingly.

The pistol is probably a 1954 vintage Ruger Standard. Do you have a box, manuals or anything else with it or ???? As gunman42782 said, if it's the pistol alone in good to excellent shape, it's a ~300-350 dollar gun.
