Got new one with 4 1/2# SA & about 12.5# DA.

Can live with the SA for a while but the DA needs help. Granted there is no grittyness etc.

Got links?

The Wolff spring kit for the GP-100 has reduced power hammer and trigger return springs and is the usual approach to lighten the trigger pull of a GP. i have their 10-pound (factory is 14 pound) hammer spring and 8-pound (factory is 11 pound) trigger return spring in my .357 GP and they did lighten the DA and SA pulls considerably but retain 100% reliability.

However, .22lr rimfire revolvers require a strong hammer fall for reliability so if you used a reduced power hammer spring, be sure the gun remains reliable and don't go too light.

Here is Brownells' listing for it: http://www.brownells.com/handgun-parts/trigger-group-parts/performance-enhancing-kits/rgp-103-pro-spring-kit-for-ruger-gp-100--prod26249.aspx

With Wolff 10 lb mainspring & 10 lb trigger return spring in my GP100 .22LR, I get reliable ignition and trigger pull averages (Lyman digital gauge) of 2 lbs, 13.4 oz SA and 7 lbs, 9.5 oz DA. Stock springs: 5 lbs, 13.5 oz SA, and over 12 lbs DA.

PS: the "reliable ignition" is with CCI Minimag or CCI Blazer; can't opine as to other brands.
