Got a LC9 today

I went to the local show looking for a very compact pocket pistol that I would carry everywhere. I carry a G19 most of the time and I have been leaving it behind at home or in the car sometimes. Wanted to get just a little smaller and stay in the 9mm minimum power area. I held Kahr CW9's and G26's and Kel Tec's. I found my LC9 and held it for a while at the show. Price was $400. I found a second mag at another booth. Got it home and I am reading the manual. We will have to see how it shoots. I have high hopes that it will perform well. Will post when I shoot it. This small narrow gun feels great in the hand.

The 9 is a nice medium small gun (LCP is smaller :lol: )

Dis-assessable it last night and cleaned the large amount of thick lubricant from the slide and barrel area. Placed a light coat of break free on parts and reassembled. Will try and find a place to break it in today. Interesting take down procedure. If you loose the pin, you would be done. I will take care to prevent that from happening. Large plastic bag to catch fliers.

Got mine Friday after waiting 3 weeks on a list from local Gun store. Took it out today and put 100 rounds through her and not a slip. Handled 124gr ball and Fed 124gr HST just fine. Found a sweet little IWB holster online that compairs to the Crossbread Supertuck for half the price. If anyone is interested give me a shout and I will forward the link. I will have this as my everyday carry for a long time to come.

Ok, took it to the range today for a fast 150 rounds of break in and performance check. Very, very good sums up everything. No malfunctions to report. Tight groups at 5 and 10 yards. Recoil is fine and I think less than I expected. Trigger pull is long but by using the tip or near tip of my index finder it felt good. Went home and took it apart. Dirty as expected but nothing strange.

I did notice that the Hammer catch pin had drifted about a Millimeter to the left. I used the Ruger key (supplied with gun) to push this pin back into position. It was only slightly out but I could tell. All good now. I placed some oil on it and put it back together.

I would have to say that this gun is earned my confidence.

I have 2 LC9's...just put them through their first 350 shared rounds today. I didn't clean anything before the range time, just made sure that the bore was clear.
A mixed bag of ammo, but no issues at all.
The double action and trigger pull is taking some getting used to, but I'm a happy camper!
Also did the same with my 2 LCP's...no issues at all, but the sights on the LC9's, although minimal (I don't like white/white/white) are far better than the LCP.
Got home and painted the LCP minimal sights with a toothpick. I may need to dremel the front to make it stay.
