Gmail farce - they don't deliver

I tried to send my SIL an E-mail yesterday and got a reject from Gmail.
They want ME to register my domain with them to establish that it is valid,
and that they should accept E-mails from me. - - - I left a not very polite
message with them mentioning something about where the sun doesn't
shine as a place to put their "information". :evil:

If anyone here is using gmail, you might want to check and see if anyone
tried to send you an E-mail. I'll note that this is just in the last month or
so. Prior to that we had no problems. :roll:

I'll have to look at what is available for him in E-mail forwarding. Then I
can set him up on my domain.

I’m guessing it’s not a farce but a tool they use to limit spam and phishing emails.

Pat, this is interesting, thanks....I've been using G-mail for probably 10 years. Recently, my daughter started attending a different school. I swear, I've sent emails to teachers and administrators and after not getting replies, I have begun to wonder if they have been receiving them or not. However, I have NOT received a reply about an "undelivered" email.

However, I do have to say, over the last 10 years. This hasn't come up and I've had few, if any problems.

When I first got mine, Gun Broker said they would not take my registration because in their opinion everyone on g-mail was a scammer. I told them fine. Keep their registration. I will continue to buy the old fashion way. That was years ago. Now they send me e-mails all the time and I delete them without opening. I got one from them complaining I was not even opening their e-mails before deleting them. Booo Hooo!!!!!!

My wife uses a g-mail account on her phone.
Has service from Verizon and it will sometimes take
24 hours for a message to come in, sometimes she
never receives them at all. Verizon claims it's not their
fault.

Not uncommon for some organizations to reject entire email domains. It’s done to reduce spam. I keep a number of email addresses just to get around this. A hassle especially when non business users are more effected than the business’ posting most of the spam

UPDATE:
I tried sending another E-mail to the SIL (both times using the address I
have in the Thunderbird addresses) and, just for grins, I made sure to NOT
mention a gun manufacturers name and the dollar amount only one time.

At least so far, it has not been rejected. If it doesn't get rejected, then I'll
bet they are scanning content and looking for specific patterns as their
reject criteria. :roll:

When they wanted me to register my domain with them so I could send
an E-mail to a gmail address, they got me pi.. (oops) severely annoyed.

Worst part is that I have a gmail address on my cell phone. Humm, should
have sent it from there. :roll:

Oh well.
Yet another bunch of liberals attempting to restrict what others do. :twisted:

Has to be a problem on your own end. I sent my wife two emails . Both went through. One from my Comcast address and the other from my gmail address. She also sent me two the same way with no problems.

I've been using gmail for a while but am less than impressed. Lately I've been unable to send or respond to gmail emails on my phone or tablet. I'm in the process of switching back to the email system provided by my internet provider (Comcast), though I'm not a big fan of theirs, either. But it does work, and offers some options gmail doesn't. And isn't as snoopy, or if they are I don't see it as much.

Hi,

I've had a G-mail account for a number of years since my ISP switched over to that service for their own "in house" e-mails. Dunno how that was supposed to work, but it didn't. It wasn't long before they had another service covering their e-mail, and the G-mail account started collecting dust.

A couple of years ago, I switched phone service and got an Android phone, so, of course, they wanted G-mail. I dusted off the account and use it to receive back ups of my regular e-mails. As troublesome as G-mail's been on the computer, on the phone it seems to work pretty much as promised. Ya got me...

Update#2:
Follow up E-mail to SIL . . . without . . . gun manufacturer name in it, went
through with no problem.

As I said in the last update, I think they are scanning content for gun
related names/phrases. With: they get blocked; without, no problem. :roll:
