George Soros Bought Sturm & Ruger, Inc?

Came into my local gun shop today & the buzz was that George Soros bought Ruger & then closed it down. I checked Snopes.com & found nothing about George buying Ruger. There was something on Geroge buying Marlin, but it was deemed false. Has anyone heard anything?

I doubt it.... typical gun store B.S. Same thing was going around about several other gun mfg'rs.

Isn't Ruger publicly owned? I don't think he could have bought it without a buttload of stockholders knowing about it (i.e., by selling him their shares).

Ruger is publicly owned with over 80% held by institutions. Once anyone buys in with over a 5% position, it has to be publicly announced. Traded on NYSE with stock symbol RGR.
I would be careful at your Gun shop with all that BS!
