Well, that is your definition of a FUDD. Mine's different. A FUDD doesn't need every electronic doodad known to man to hit a target at 25 yds. We tend to do it with these things call iron sights, maybe a scope for long distances.

The folks that hate me as their definition of a FUDD, have little clue about many of us old folks. I love my quality all-metal firearms. I also own and shoot many all black rifles and handguns. I am proficient with them, and probably have more training and down-range experience than many of them.
And while many of these folks are sitting on their arses, I am the person doing what I can to prevent new anti-gun laws and new anti-gun politicians.
But hate me anyway. I am old.

Mobuck, I have read many of your posts and I find nothing in them to suggest that you are nothing but an ethical hunter. My use of the word destroy simply means dead in this case, not that there was any waste of the animal. I suppose I was rather flippant in my quote. No offense to you intended."I do not know of any hunters who do not kill their prey, ergo destroying it."
In response: I don't 'destroy' game animals, I convert them into FOOD. Last year we donated around 12-15 deer to Share the Harvest (program supported by Dept of Conservation providing processed venison to local food pantries) or directly to needy families.
I destroy vermin, varmints, and predators since there's no value in the dead carcass due to low fur prices.
