FS: Ruger 77/22 with boat paddle (Zytel) stock and green inserts, no sights , model 77/22RP. According to the latest RENE Reference Guide, there was only one of these known...this would make it two. Gun is in very good condition. It has been fired but doesn't appear to be very much. S/N is 700-96517, which is very close to the one reported in RENE (700-97XXX). Comes with Ruger rings but no box or papers.

I am sure that there are probably others out there that just haven't yet been reported, but Chad and the RENE has been at this a long time, and if there's only one in the Reference Guide, there probably aren't too many others out there. In any case, it is a very rare rifle.

Asking $800, shipped to your FFL.

First "I'll take it" email gets it. Payment by USPS money order or cashier's check. Feel free to email with any questions. I am going to list this on a few other forums as well, to maximize exposure. If unsold after a few days, I will take it to auction.

Thanks for looking!

I saw and picked up one of those last yr at a shop. Thought it was different but wasn't aware of it's scarcity.

I have one with the same stock, but mine is stainless. I bought it back in 1996 and wouldn't part with it for twice as much money. It's the best shooting 22 rifle I have ever owned!

Thanks, Dinny

the stainless is part of the ruger line. when ruger dropped the boat paddle from it's line, they had many stocks left. davidson's bought them and had ruger put blued rifles on them. i think they had a list of 16 calibers they wanted. i've seen a few of the calibers on G.B., .264 mag., 35 welen, 30.06, .22lr. and 17hmr. the .22 with green inserts and sights seems to be rare. i've seen only one. from what i understand, ruger used green inserts the first year or so and at that point went to black.
