FS: Gold Label, Blackhawks, Marlins, and some other guns

I need to thin out my collection, and I'm posting 9 guns here before they go to GunBroker or any other site. Not looking for any trades. I know these pictures aren't the best, so if you have any questions or want more pictures, please PM me.

*************************************************************

1. Ruger Gold Label. This shotgun was made in 2004 and comes with the original box and chokes and a Ruger letter. Additionally, it has a Ruger slip-on recoil pad, and a Ruger barrel hand guard. Also included is a hard case from Jeff's Outfitters along with accessories. $3,400.

2. Browning B-S/S in 20ga, 26 inch barrels with improved cylinder and modified fixed chokes was made in 1981. This shotgun comes with the original box, but no manual or paperwork. $1,750.

There are two spots on the shotgun to be aware of: a small nick on the stock, and a small (about 1/16 in) spot on the barrel. See below.

3. Remington 700 Classic in .257 Roberts, made in 1982. This rifle comes with the original box and manual. As you can see, the box is well worn, but it is the correct box for this rifle. $900.

4. Ruger .44 Special Custom from Bowen Classic Arms with color case hardened frame and hammer. Case hardening colors are better than they look in the picture. Original action, never converted. I think this conversion was done around 2010. $2,000. SOLD

5. Ruger Old Model 357 convertible. This is a non prefix gun, made in 1968, and comes with the box and a Ruger letter which verifies it was shipped from the factory as a convertible. Original action, never converted. $950. SOLD

6. Ruger Flattop 357. This is a 10 inch barrel model made in 1960. Original action, never converted. Ruger letter is included, but it does not mention the model or barrel length – just says it is a .357 Blackhawk. To me, it looks like the bluing has been touched up, but I can't tell how much. $900. SOLD

7. Marlin 1894 Cowboy. This is the 24 inch barrel version in .44 Magnum stamped JM, made in 1998. No box or paperwork. $1,000. SOLD

8. Marlin 39A. This 39A was made in 1952, before micro-groove rifling. It has a steel Lyman 66 peep sight. This rifle is NOT drilled and tapped for mounting a scope. No box or paperwork. $825.

9. Winchester Model 70 Stainless .375 H&H. Not your ordinary model 70. This 375 is a special order rifle which includes a very nice high grade stock. It was made in 1998. I called Winchester in December 2019 and they verified it was a special order rifle. These pictures don't do justice to the fancy stock on this rifle. If you are interested, I would be happy to try to get better pictures of the stock. $2,200.

Payment: I prefer US Postal Money Orders for payment but will take a personal check. Items paid with a personal check will not ship until the check clears, usually in 2 weeks.

Shipping: I will ship ONLY to a FFL holder, or if eligible to a C&R holder. I will cover the shipping on long guns. Shipping for revolvers will be $50. My actual cost with UPS is more than this, but I will cover the difference. I am not a FFL holder, so please make sure your dealer will accept a shipment from an individual. If they won't, then dealers in my area charge a fee of about $65 plus $25 for shipping and you will need to cover that cost. No shipments to CA or outside the continental US – and then only where legal. It is up to you to know what's legal in your area.

Returns: You have a 3 day, no fire, inspection period that starts when the item is received by your dealer. If you aren't happy with any of these items, you must pay for shipping back to my dealer and I will deduct $35.50 from your refund to cover my dealer's transfer fee which I must pay to get my gun back.

Some members have very strong feelings on how to indicate you want to buy an item. Please post "I'll Take It" here if you want one of these guns.

10 inch Flat Top and Marlin 1894 are sold. Everything else still available.

fs-arf Just out of curiosity, and maybe you are well known here but with 22 posts, I'm wondering why 2 week wait if someone sends a check, when it takes a day or two for funds to be drawn from the sender? Not meaning to offend but just seems like over kill.

Payment: I prefer US Postal Money Orders for payment but will take a personal check. Items paid with a personal check will not ship until the check clears, usually in 2 weeks.

That's true, but there is also a post at the beginning of the classifieds to BE CAREFUL. Are you saying that's no longer the case??? If you know this person say so. If you have thrown out the caution say so. I know someone who was ripped off for $650 recently on a forum classifieds. It wasn't here, but it happens. 22 posts in 14 years, he certainly isn't an active member.
Quote A seller may set his own terms. He has to live with those decisions. And so does anyone else that doesn't use good judgement.
I'm not saying anyone is a crook, but how do we know. I use a credit union rather than a bank and I get an email when a check clears on my account. From my experience 2 days to clear is a pretty safe bet.

That's absolutely not what I said. All I said is that the seller can set his own terms. If you find these terms unfavorable, don't deal with him, or take it up with him offline via the PM system. Don't take it up within the Classified ad.

A couple of the Rules state . . .

"5) Sell and buy at your own risk...There have been several reports of a scam artist wanting to send payments a-la Nigerian email scam. Use common sense and follow up with your buyer and seller. If it sounds too good to be true is probably is. We suggest strongly that if you do sell anything of value or transact a firearm that you contact the person directly before you proceed."

"6) Any criticisms you may have regarding the item listed for sale should be addressed privately via the PM system. This includes any alternate price "offers"."

Would you share the serial # (or the first four digits) of the convertible .357? Also some close up pics of the revolver and pics of the box ends. Thank you!

Assuming I get a postal money order or certified funds I'm planing on shipping the next day. As a convenience to buyers I also said I would take a personal check. When I deposit it I intend to ask my credit union whether they can inform me when they have collected the funds. Last time I asked, they said it could be up to 10 working days. If a check is paid earlier, I ship earlier.

And I use a credit union as well, but the message I get is when the funds are available, which is usually before the check is actually collected.
