FS: Nice early 4-digit serial number Ruger Bearcat. This is a blued, single action, 6-shot, 22 LR revolver with a 4" barrel. The gun has been fired, but it appears to not have been very much...bore is good, timing is good, lock-up is tight. Bluing is mostly good, other than a few minor spots on the back top of the gripframe, as seen in pictures, and the grips are in great shape. S/N is 8251, which puts it around 1961 manufacture date, so it is eligible for C&R licenses. No box or papers.

Asking $625, shipped to your FFL or C&R.

I am going to list this on a few other places, to maximize exposure. If unsold after a few days, I will take it to auction.

Thanks for looking!

Please excuse me for this question. Do the do the Bearcats all come with the transfer bar conversion? Or were they implemented at a specific time and year? thinking about the wife and a nice small single action lightweight gun. Smaller than the single 6

Early Bearcats did NOT have the transfer bar. These became available and standard when the Bearcat was re-introduced (90s?). Older guns can be sent in for the transfer conversion, so you can find them in the used marketplace with the conversion. This one still has the original lockwork.

Hope this helps,
