I believe what you have here is a post WWII MAB model D type II in 7.65mm (.32acp) with aftermarket faux wood RH thumbrest target grips. most factory grips had the MAB logo embossed and were not handed.
they are close imitations of the Browning model 1910/22 and were used extensively by French police and military. from your pictures, yours does not appear to have import markings which is a bonus for purists and collectors.
they have a good reputation for reliability and some parts, magazines, grips, etc. seem to be available online where service might be needed.
neat guns and great little piece of foreign history. please verify anything I've added, I'm just going by your pictures and a couple quick pokes at the interwebs to refresh my memory.

I used to have one of these about 35 years ago. I still have the original grips. They were right handed grips (with logo) & I’m left handed. A buddy at work made me a set from some wood he had laying around. Neat little gun, wish I still had it-Dave

This gun was used by Corporal Louis Labeau! on Hogan Heros...he fight the Germans from 1965 thru 71 at Stalog 13!...that's my story, and im sticking it it!

Man, if only I had a spare $350. I have bought too many guns in the last 30 days. 6 pistols. I need to lay off for the rest of the month as I have a 7th that I might win on GB 4 days from now.
