Freedom Munitions seeds

I am relatively new to metallic reloading, I would guess 5k rounds over the last year and a half. I have used a bunch of different seeds but lately I have settled into using copper plated seeds from Freedom Munitions. When I look up recipes on their site it lists like 3 powders and one dose(gr)s
I have used their recipe and the results are acceptable, but without a range I have no idea where I am, and their data doesn’t exactly transfer to my Lyman manual either. I could chrono to get a better feel I know and I haven’t. I just wish I knew where their single point of data was in the big picture. I am primarily loading revolver calibers. Can you reloaders with more experience weigh in on this please

General rule of thumb, use lead bullet data for plated as well as coated bullets.

I’m looking at my data here, 44spl, 200 gr RNFP plated, titegroup, Hodgson says 4.5-5.4 Freedom Munitions says 6.6gr Lyman TG recipe for 210 gr lead is 4.6-5.2 I started at 6.6 and don’t see signs of high pressure but I don’t understand the discrepancy and especially don’t understand why this bullet manufacturer doesn’t give min/max.

Welcome to the wonders & mysteries of reloading.

Different manufacturers use different testing methods,, which will cause discrepancies.
Different components will give different results.
And since Freedom Munitions doesn't publish a full manual of data,, I'd guess that they haven't spent the money on a lot of testing.

New reloaders should have at least 3 different quality manuals by manufacturing companies. (Not the complied ones or internet stiff etc.) Hornady, Lyman, Speer Hodgdon, etc are heavily invested in reloading, and they have good manuals.

Next,, as noted,, plated bullets,, the general rule of thumb is to use cast lead data. Different companies have different thicknesses of their plating,, and as such,, safety first,, so lead loading data is the place to study.
Powder coating has been proven to be superior to many plated bullets,, but again, using cast lead bullet load data is a safe way to load the ammo.

Now,, I would double check the Freedom Munitions data. It may be that your load of 6.6 may be what they consider the MAX load. I will admit that I'm guessing here, based upon decades of studying reloading data, and how companies put forth info. Hodgdon has minimum & maximum only in their booklets.
Maybe an email or phone call to them will get you answers about their data?

Lastly,, as a handloader with close to 50 years experience,, I can share a piece of wisdom. Accuracy should be the main objective you seek. Not power. To quote a famous silhouette champion, (and others) "The target is the final arbitrator of performance."

I hunt with a handgun, and with well over 150 big game animals under my belt,, I often find that most revolvers,, in the calibers starting with a "4" and using a quality cast bullet,, running in the 1000-1300 FPS range will be quite accurate, AND effective on big game. Velocity is not the end-all, be-all for real performance.

I would invest in a few manuals (if you haven't already,) then invest in a few different bullets to try out. You may be quite surprised.

p.s. are they really "bullets" ???? Never heard that expression in over 50 yrs of reloading.

The term seeds is used on social media like Facebook market place when selling ammo or firearms so it doesn't get removed. I dislike the term myself. But it's the new normal.
