Freedom arms ?

I know this is a Ruger forum and i do enjoy my single action Rugers, I know there are a number of Freedomarms owners here that may be able to help me .I have the opportunity to trade into a another Freedom arms , It is one of the newer fixed sight model 83 premier grade 357s . I am looking to find out if i can put a adjustable sight on this ? I have a spare rear adjustable sight . Is there a scope mount for it ? I have not seen the new fixed sight that is attached with screws in person as of yet and traded off my old fixed sight 454 with a 4 inch barrel because i could not see the sights very well but the rear was just machined into the topstrap

I haven't heard of one with a screw on fixed rear.
There is a new model with a fixed rear and a windage adjustable/replaceable front, but that uses a standard fixed rear notch.
None of the fixed rear sights are adaptable for adjustable rear sights or scope mounts.

As I stated elsewhere...... pour enough money into the project and you can have a fine rear sight installed. F-A won't do it for you but many gunsmiths certainly could....

Freedom's Dovetailed front sight is available with different height blades. It also can be moved left and right.....

It's just not an economically feasible project. Once a pocket is machined , and holes drilled to accomodate your FA adjustable rear sight, the front sight would also need to be replaced as it will not be tall enough, once the adjustable rear has been installed. The after-market machining for the rear sight will also void any remaining factory warranty.
In my judgement, it's far better to buy one with an adjustable rear sight.

I really had hope that i could just swap out the sights , I will just wait and see if i can run into a decent deal on a adjustable sight Freedom arms . What i would really like to run into is a model 97 in 41 mag , I have a Freedom arms 83 in .357 with a 9.5 inch barrel and a 454 with a 10 inch barrel . I was going to trade my last safe queen a Smith and Wesson 27-2 that was unfired . I decided i am done with safe queens and now there all gone , everything now gets shot . I traded the Smith for another one but a model 41 + some cash, always wanted one so i am a happy camper.
