Years ago I was looking for a G29 (subcompact 10mm) with none to be found, but the G30 (subcompact .45) was readily available. When a local gun shop put a hefty discount on a languishing G30SF, I bought it.

With the savings, purchased a 10mm conversion barrel (Storm Lake Barrels was local) and a couple of G29 magazines. Takes just a few seconds to swap the barrel...
