I need a 4 5/8" .41 mag barrel only, NM preferred. Will take a 6 5/8", beggars can't be choosers. Needed for a .357 OM conversion to .41 Spec. They have to turn the barrel down to fit .357 frame. I hate to do that to an OM barrel, and Ruger will not sell me a barrel. Barrel with warning book on it will be fine as it will be turned down. Please include several pictures, as scammers are looking for targets. Thanks much.

Stainless or blue? I have a 4 5/8 stainless. If interested send me a message with your phone # and I will text photos.

I might have an old model in 6.5 in I can part with. but im in AZ till April 5. Mr. DS
I can wait. Gotta save my pennies for the conversion. Planning on getting a brass gf for it, will take time to fit it. Keep me in mind. Thanks much, Mr. DS

Would prefer blued. That's what the frame is. But thanks.

Shoot a PM to member ryanc.ross

He’s a 41 fan too but may have something …. Ya never know

It would be cheaper and easier to feed if you find a 10mm or .40 s&w Blackhawk. Ballistics won’t be far off from .41 spl.

Have an old model (no warning) blued barrel exactly as you need, minus feeling bad about turning it down. I was not able to get a smith in SC or NC worth a darn to swap my 6.5" out. None of them had a frame wrench. SMH. Sacrilege but I bought S&W 57 instead. New member, so not sure how to best proceed with sale. I can get some pictures tonight. Eventually plan to have a 4 5/8, 5 or 5.5 Bisley 41, but it will have to wait.

If anybody that stumbles across this post knows a gunsmith in the upstate SC or western NC that can pull blackhawk barrels, please post their info. My local smith wouldn't / couldn't do it for fear of messing up finish. Hyatt's guns in Charlotte couldn't do it either (they didn't say it, but its because they don't have a frame wrench and insert). They said it wouldn't budge and they didn't want to bend the frame. I would be very happy to sell you my NM 6.5" 41 barrel for you to butcher if I could get it off and put my OM barrel on.

I think I will pass on that, OM barrels are getting hard to come by. I would list it in the foe sale forum, a .41 mag collector may take it. Why are you putting an OM barrel on a NM?

Was the only short barrel I could find. Got the NM for a song, but I don't love the look or balance of the 6.5" barrel. Besides, not having the warning is more pleasing to the eye. Ruger wouldn't sell me a NM short barrel either. They also refused to do the barrel swap for me, said they weren't taking in any elective jobs. Who is doing the conversion work for you out of curiosity, just wondering if they are on this side of the Mississipi. If by some chance I manage to get the current barrel off, I'll let you know. I'd let that go for dirt cheap. I was considering chopping mine to 5" and doing a full length ejector along with a brass bisley-ish conversion, but I don't have a smith I trust to do the chop and get the front sight back on straight / correct. Worst case, I'll just put it all away until I can afford one of the big names to do the work. But even that is a royal pain thanks to all the mail carriers who will only ship from FFL now..........still bitter about that..........

The guy I am going to be using is in Texas. There is a highly regarded smith in Louisville, TN. I will see if I can come up with his info and send it to you.
