I lived in Honolulu and on Ford Island in 1946,47,48 and dont know if it was open to visit in those days.

It’s a beautiful and fascinating place. Built inside a crater with a tunnel through the side of the crater. I’ve never heard of it before, thanks for posting about it. Are you planning a visit?
