Thanks, Doc. I was chasing mule deer all over the SW corner of NM. No shots, but a great time!

Just curious--were you hunting in the Gila NF or the Peloncillos?

Well, it's a long story, and yes, I do miss New Mexico. I get claustrophobic in Alabama, can't see far enough. Sometimes things don't work out the way you have planned. i get back when I can. Wife's family are all around Ruidoso/Capitan area now, also beautiful. But I really love the high desert in SW New Mexico best.

For any of you with an interest, there are a lot of photos of the Arizona Peloncillos taken on my Mountain Lion hunt last February here:

Great print! One of the series of 21 that WBR had commisioned for the planned 21 Cased and accessorized Ruger Number One rifles.......Always wished i had a home with enough walls to hold a set of the framed and matted prints..........Let alone, just one of the rifles, of which only three(Lee?) were done, and only one fully completed.......Not sure of level of completeness of # two and three........ It's been 25+ years ago

We are veering off topic here, but the Bighorn was the 1st, Mountain Lion was 2nd and completed. Not sure what the 3rd might have been if started.
I have always wanted the complete set of these too, but lack the wall space!
There is an eBay seller of these prints; they usually go for $10-$15 + 8 or 9 to ship. Real bargain as original List Price was $95, I think!!

Think that at one time, there was quite a repository/source for the prints in Prescott, ala Dave Wolfe. When I was still living in Tucson, 26+ years ago, I had half of them and counting. The source was in Phoenix and luckily, he had a standing offer to take back those you chose to return. I'd come to my senses(rare occasion) and got my money back after finally noting that my 24 ft. hall way did not allow an art gallery..........Wonder where all the original paintings went? Issue totaled 900 for each print, I think. Wish I had a "Cave" to hang these up in, along with the others in "the closet".......... 8)

A fine looking FRAME for the print :!: RUSTIC,WESTERN LOOK---from Alabama and I love that look----those type frames have been popular even before 1900 8)
