I was very fortunate to pick up this consecutive numbered pair (1956) from another forum member! ANIBoxes I dressed them up in their own case and the package turned out beautiful! I will be adding a brass descriptive plaque!

VERY nice!!!!!!

Take a tip, note or whatever from those of us experienced in cased guns. Fabrics, foam, etc can & will hold moisture. Many is the mahogany cased (read rare) Ruger .44's that were stored in their boxes,, only to develop rust & damage from that.
Oil well, and even consider options to prevent potential damage to them!

Thanks and appreciate the great advice. I bought an engraved Single Six that was beautiful until you turned the gun over. The stored side was very badly rusted! Such a shame.
on the other hand I have several high end Italian Shotguns that have been stored in the maker custom cases. They are 30 years old on not a mark on them. I scratch my head wondering the how’s and why’s or why nots
but Thank you

The why's & why nots concerning gun storage & rust etc, are due to how the guns are preserved & the materials they lay on, as well as the surrounding humidity & such.

An easy way to describe it. Take a gun, go outside on a cold day and let the gun get "cold." Then, take the gun into a warm house, with a 50% humidity level. Condensation will form on the gun. Even if you don't see it,, often, moisture will form in such a small amount that will cause problems.
Good materials in a case that do not hold or transfer moisture as well as good oils, etc will prevent damaging issues.
