I was looking at the Ruger Store wed site for grips for my new Flat Top 44 Special and am not clear which ones are correct. Are they the grips decsribed for the NVB frame?

Yes NVB, or any other description that says "new XR," "New Vaquero" or "50th Anniversary" (which includes the .44 Sp--same frame--just seldom says it--the site isn't always kept up to date). My guess, and it's just that, is the NV part denotes the New Vaquero gripframe design as it was the first NM midframe--IIRC, and therefore set the gripframe pattern for the 50th Ann and .44 Sp flattops to come.

? Wouldn't NVB stand for New Vaquero Bisley? Or, is that New Vaquero Blackhawk? I'm confused.

It would appear by the description and pic here

...that it either means New Vaquero-patterned Blackhawk (ie - new XR3 midframe) or the "B" stands for something else entirely, but certainly not Bisley (assuming the description is accurate, which is not always the case), I'd call Ruger to be sure. The New Hampshire office seems to be the more helpful on these matters.
