What should I use to clean the pistol after I shoot it at the range? Like the barrel and stuff I plan on buying on amazon is there is any type of kit I should get like brushes wire brushes and oil etc etc. Also wheres the best place to buy ammo cheap local or web. Im located in south florida, Thanks.

i use hoppes #9 or blue wonder bore cleaner on everything here.

Enjoy your new sr9c i love mine.

You can find Gun Scrubber Synthetic Safe on Amazon and Eezox on eBay. I used those 2 to clean & lube my guns after a range trip.

#1 - Clean it before going to the range the first time.

I use the Otis cleaning kit but the Hoppes cleaner and CLC lube. I think that all cleaners are OK as long as you are thorough enough. Hoppes is just tried and true.

Check Walmart for the best price on ammo. I've been using the Winchester White Box which I can get for about $23 per 100. Been thinking about switching to Federal but I've had good luck with the WWB.

Congrats on the SR9c. Great firearm!

I don't use the wire brush kits. I used a soft toothbrush and a boresnake. You can find a cheap boresnake for your caliber on eBay.

Those wire brush kits are all you need, yes.

Assuming they have patches, the brush, handle, rod, as well as a decent solvent and oil. I like hoppes#9 and remoil.

I use the EEzox , too...good stuff. Like a one-does-it-all product.

Ok so far I'm going to order from amazon the hoppes 9mm cleaning kit and the Boresnake thing. Also what do I use to clean and polish the exterior (stainless steel)? And also what is the Solvent that is included in the kit for? Is there any like spary and blast clean the inside parts? I heard someone using brake cleaner and wd40 I also heard of people using motor oil. Also What's a good holster?

i use them m pro 7 cleaning kit. it is made to clean all pistols and tactical rifles i also use some rem oil and winchester gun cleaner if needed. it really can breakdown the grime if you shoot a lot

As you can see there are a lot of different items you can use to clean your pistol. For the bore you can use wire brushes, a boresnake, mops and Jags. I use the last two. First I soak a mop with Hoppes #9 and insert it in the barrel. Let it soak for a little while and then put a patch on a jag and keep using new patches until it comes out clean.

If you want to watch a good video on cleaning semi autos check out a youtube.com user named Hickok45. He's an older man that really knows his stuff when it comes to guns. I watched his "how to clean a pistol" video several times. I don't use exactly what he uses to clean but i follow his instructions.

I agree! His videos and gun reviews are awesome. Him and Jeff should get together and do some videos. That would be great to watch.
