I just picked up a 239 prefix 10-22 that is in a Ruger factory finger groove stock. I am assuming that it is not correct and am thinking that I would like to sell the stock to someone that can use it on a correct SN# range 10/22. What would be a general value range on just the stock? Good condition with no cracks very minor handling marks. I googled and found little on just stocks. Once I list it I will put a link in the auction section of this site. Thanks in advance everyone!

Any chance you can post a picture?

I see the basic carbine birch stocks in the $25 range but have no idea on the finger-groove.

Yeah, I have sold several standard takeoffs and they always seem to bring 25-35. I have never owned any of the FG stocked guns as I am not a 10-22 collector and have never found one that was priced reasonably. As far as pictures go it is just a standard FG stock but I will get a few pics up when I go to actually sell it. I'm mostly just curious what I should start the bidding at in an effort to not seem ridiculous or overpriced. Heck, maybe I will just start it at .01 and link it here so everyone has an equal crack at it. Thanks for the response!

I haven't seen a fingergroove stock sell individually for awhile. The last ones I did see went for the $100 to $150 dollar range. The last few complete fingergoove sporter I saw actually sell where in the $300-$400 range for complete guns. I imagine they might sell in the same price range as some of the international stocks on auction. Just guessing.

Does your fingergroove stock have a red rubber buttpad, or is it black rubber?

Hey guys thanks for all of the info. I'm picking up the rifle tomorrow and I will get some pics and info for those of you that had questions. Then the stock will go off to auction. I have had several PM's so I will be starting it at .01 to give everyone interested a fair shot at it. I did not intend to advertise the sale this much here so I will post pics and then link it in the auction links section as not to chap anyone's behind. Thanks again!

Thanks again for the help! Check auction for pics. Good luck if you decide to bid!
