We have a female Colorado Mountain Dog, soon to be three years old, named Ellie. My son has two of her male littermates, Teddy and Biggie. He has chickens, but we don’t, at least for now. Ellie instead “guards” our mini dachshunds and our grandchildren… this is a new breed in its fifth generation, bred mostly from Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees lines. They are so gentle with the grandchildren… loyal, loving, and smart!
