It is my first attempt to post photos. Let see if it works smoothly.

It is a Vaquero, 22K Gold inlay, Siberian Nephrite grip. Made in 2003, Ruger Studio.

All that and they couldn't use a blued grip screw. I guess I'll just never understand it.

The screw housing is sterling, the screw indeed is stainless.
There was a point, I can't influence the finish of the guns, some had newer been photographed assembled, because I newer saw it finished.

I didn't mean to insult you. I didn't know if you had anything to do with building the gun. It's beauty is obvious. One look tells it all.

But sterling? The gun is black and gold, the grips are green and black. I still think I'd prefer black grip screw hardware. Just goes to show you that you can't please everyone.

Maybe you can answer something I've always wondered about with guns like this. How is the gold applied, like on the eagle, what keeps the gold there?

Carys, the nephrite was my own, but gold has been supplied by Ruger Co., one of the unpleasant side to be employed is to ask permission for every grain of material.
As for the technology of gold inlay, one day I will show it step by step.

Surround the URL with "Forum Code" image tags (no HTML needed).

OK, now I'm confused. Did you actually do the gold inlay work on the gun? And did you also make the grips? Does the gun belong to you?

Master of lapidary, Tchawdar Tchushev cut the grips, the rest is my work with little help of assistants.
The gun has been a property of Ruger Co., at list at the time of my employment till 2006.
Have no idea of the fate of my engraved guns. The prototypes and the pattern samples, as I know, has been scrapped recently.

In my opinion, scrapping the prototypes and pattern samples borders on the criminal. What a complete shame. Makes one wonder what "they" are thinking.
