Beginning of a project! I was at a gun show today and found an old model Bearcat. Not a collector, an honest shooter. I need to find a trigger return spring that fits under the plunger. I think the previous owner trimmed a few too many coils. When I got it home and cut away the mandatory zip tie. I noticed that the trigger needed to be held forward to engage the half cock notch to load. I disassembled the rest to see if all was well. It appears to be. I would like to replace the spring if I can find it to keep it as originally designed. Or I could send it to Ruger to have it converted. Any suggestions? MK

Take it apart, and look at the spring. If nothing else you could cut down the spring from a retractable ball point pin. Just make sure that it will stop on the shoulder where the shank exits the main body of the plunger.

Sorry for the double post. I wasn't sure the first went through.
Cadillo, I was thinking the same thing to tide me over a bit. I received a PM from a gracious member who had an extra available at a very fair price. My son and I are anxiously waiting for him to shoot this little revolver.
