I need an extra semi as a "car gun".

I'm giving my current car gun to my stepson as a Christmas present, so what's the story on these P94's?

I can get a 9mm police trade-in with trijicon night sights and one high cap mag for $265 shipped.

My local FFL charges $20 so that will put me in it at $285.

What say the Ruger experts here?

and thanks

had one. sold it to come up with rent. would love to have another. reliable. All P series guns are great values. terribly under rated pistol.

I also had a P90 that was excellent.

I'd be all over it. I just paid $134 for a set of Trijicons to go on my KP90.

And they're not making the P94 anymore. Plus cop guns tend to be carried much, shot little.

Doc, I just bought the exact same gun for the exact same price and I couldn't be happier with it. I bought a holster and five new magazines for the P94 and I'm good to go. I liked it so much that I just bought a P90! I think you'll be happy with it, especially at that price.

I don't know about the P94 but I bought a P95 last Saturday and I liked it so much I bought another one today. I never liked 9mm or plastic frames but it was cheap so I bought it and I'm glad I did. I know the first one came from a retired police officer and I strongly believe the one I bought today did too. They both look like they were hardly ever shot and were carried in holsters.I stripped the one I bought today down to check it and you could tell it hadn't been cleaned in years. It was full of dirty grime and lent but there was no powder residue.Even the rails were full of this gunk as if it hasn't been used in a long while. I was surprised to see how dirty it was but when I couldn't find any powder residue I realized it hadn't been used hardly at all. There was no wear on any of the parts either. I paid $250 each.
EDIT-I have been looking at the P94s, where can you get one for that price?

I just bought a p95 a week ago and another yesterday. I really like the P94 but I already have two 9mm pistols and my next one will be a 40 cal. They are nice looking pistols and if I hadn't just bought two I would get one for sure.
Thanks for the link ,I was hoping one would be a 40 cal. Gary.

I'm new to Rugers pistols I got my first one just over a week ago. I want a P series 40 cal, not sure which one's come in 40 yet but I'm learning. I have a 1911 in 45 but I will probably get a P series 45 too. I will let you know if I find any deals. Thanks Gary.

The P944 (.40 caliber P94) is the only P-series offered in .40 at this time oilcangary. You might find a used P91 if you dig around.

My P944T is a good pistol. I would trust my life to it. I do not usually carry it due to it's bulk but it works well for what it was designed for.

Thanks Mike J, as I said I'm I'm still learning.

Another tip for you. The P944 tends to confuse ppl who dont know what they have. They are often listed as P94 because thats what they say on the slide. Apparently Ruger didnt feel the need to add another 4 on there. You have to look on the chamber through the ejection port and it will either say 9mm Auto or .40 Auto. Sometimes it can be hard to read.

Hard to see in this pic but right above Ruger its says .40 Auto
