Early Single Six short throw offset ejector rod housing

Just to be sure . . .

There were two slightly different versions of the "offset slot" housing, allowing slightly different stroke lengths of the ejector rod. The first version was used only on the very first Single-Sixes. The second version had the offset moved slightly closer to the main frame to allow enough stroke to eject the cases on the early .357 and .44 flattops. Are you seeking one of the very first versions?

Yes , I need one of the earlier versions , which is what I have heard referred to as the "short throw " version .

I actually talked to someone at that place yesterday . They only have one housing that they think is a Type 1 . but I can't realy tell in the pictures they sent me if it's a Type1 or. 2. I want to be sure before I buy it . Thanks for the info .

I only have the one extra that is part of my single six display.

Maybe you can get them to measure for you (and themselves!)
From where it butts up to the frame to the bottom of the slot is .940 on the short throw (T1 shown) and .750 on the long throw (T2).

I do have an extra, but it's not all that nice, some pitting, but someone with some skills could make it look new again.

Thank you for the info. After talking to the guy & his wife too at Classic Parts , I think that the only housing they have at this time is rougher than I am.looking for . I have a few old housings, bur none are in very good condition. I appreciate your input .
