I didn't want to hijack another thread. I received an old duck decoy a few years back and it was in rough and I mean rough looking shape. No finish left except a little paint and part of the tail had a gouge in it. The head turns and it is set up on a wooden dowel which is original. I was able to redo the tail and then I went and repainted the decoy as a mallard. I just wished I had taken a pic before hand. I had no intention of getting rid of it so not sure what it was worth before, but it now at least looks good on my mantle.
