A good day Duck Hunting In SC

Mostly Mallards, but a Blue Wing Teal, Green Wing Teal, Ring Neck, And Red Head. Also knocked down some Quail the prior evening.

I think the Ring Neck duck is in the Bluebill family.

Very nice! I love duck hunting, but haven't been in close to 15 years. We always veiwed Ringnecks poorly and tried hard not to shoot them. They are attractive birds, but not the best eating. On the other hand, Mallards and Black Ducks were the prize in N. AL where I grew up.

I love the dog too. Man I really miss duck hunting...

Sounds like a good time.

Ya' know...grew up shooting ducks on the roost...didn't know you could shoot ducks legal, til I was about 20yrs old.

And, I like the dog, too...a true-blue hunting buddy, there.

Yep, the lab (female) was 4 years old, but an awesome retriever. Very timid, until a bird drops! My favorite part of hunting birds is watching the dogs work

Congrats ! The Teal n Woodies my favs.. Shooting or eating. My Lil Sis in SC has for a client, a waterfowl guiding business there somewhere. Kinda the Duck Commanders of SC as I understand it.
