I was wondering if causes any damage dri-firing the LC9. I know on some pistols it's not recommended to do it. I didn't see anything in the manual saying not to. Thoughts?

After I cleaned mine,I took it by the back door of the shop and shot it with live ammo. Never did dry fire it and,it's trigger is long but smooth after 300 rounds so far. If you watch the videos from Hickok45,you will see and learn about the LC9.

If I shot mine out the back door I'd get arrested. I have watched the videos that Hickok45 has put out on the LC9. Very good vids. I noticed that he dri-fired the LC9 but he also said that he always dri-fires all his weapons except for a .22 rim fire.

Where do you get Snap Caps from? Do you make your own with a spent casing with no primer?

They are available at most gun shops, Cabela's and Gander Mountain etc.

I personally like A-Zoom snap caps.>> http://www.impactguns.com/azoom-9mm-lug-practice-a-15116-666692151163.aspx

Ridge1976,my shop is out on a farm that my relative owns. And,that is where the shop is. So,all I have to do if it's not raining is open the back overhead door and start target practice with my guns.

Thanks! I'll check out a couple of shops in my area and see what they have.

Is the answer yes on the dry fire? No? Or, better safe than sorry and use snap caps?
